Go Rural

The change you want is waiting for you in rural Queensland. From country and coastal towns to remote outback communities, doctors are getting the opportunities and fulfilment they might not find in the big cities.

At Health Workforce Queensland, we can help you find the rural career or locum opportunity that will suit your preferred lifestyle. We can even help arrange government financial support to assist you with the move.

Whether you’re after a better life for your family or looking for a life-changing adventure for yourself – Go Rural! Go Rural is a federally funded campaign to encourage doctors and medical students to consider a career or locum work in rural practice.

Rural Health Workforce is managing Go Rural in partnership with their member organisations, the state and territory Rural Workforce Agencies including Health Workforce Queensland. Health Workforce Queensland is hosting two Go Rural experiences to give you a taste of rural practice.
