This clinic in Cairns has a 1 and 2 year training opportunities in Cairns where you would work with some of the most senior educators and learn the practical aspects of skin cancer medicine while doing skin courses - they offer hands on training in dermoscopy, excisions etc. There is no expectation of long term commitment but the option is available. They are a rapidly expanding doctor owned chain of clinics (2) and are looking for doctors who wish to diversify into the business side of things in the future. They have on an average 1200 patient visits per week and 35 new patient bookings EVERY DAY and have achieved this consistently for the past 3 months. Their 13 doctors are all booked for 4 weeks at a time and have had to close their online bookings due to no available appointments. With high amounts of pathology, opportunities for research is also available and they are working with CSIRO and JCU to secure funding for more advanced research projects in use of Artificial Intelligence to aid in skin cancer diagnosis.

With an International airport and cruise ships that regularly port, it is an extremely popular part of the world that offers a more relaxed lifestyle, but still provides plenty of entertainment and adventure. Cairns has a diverse range of education opportunities ranging from primary to secondary schools, including public, private, boarding as well as 2 universities, JCU and CQU. Sport is well covered in the Cairns district. Including football, cricket, swimming, lawn bowls, ten pin bowling, martial arts, pony club, tennis,basketball, netball, and water sports. There are also several fully equipped Gyms throughout the region. For those interested in the cultural arts, there are dancing schools, the Cairns Choral Society and art centres.
There are 2 well equipped hospitals that provide outreach clinics, specialist services, oncology, allied health and community health clinics. There are also a dozen aged care facilities in the district. With exciting new developments commencing including the Aquis Resort and Cairns Aquarium Centre, this city is set for major expansion in the years to come.
Qualifications and Experience

ARST posts in Skin cancer medicine for FARGP and AST for ACRRM maybe available as well. Our clinics are in a Non DPA area but we are able to accommodate doctors with DPA restrictions for up to 12 months at this time.
