This is a fantastic opportunity to be at a medical where GP's have so much knowledge, experience and most importantly want to pass their valuable knowledge onto other general practitioners.
The medical centre moved to its present location within the Chinchilla Medical Centre opposite the water tower in May 1991 and expanded from 5 to 9 doctor's rooms in November 2009. The church which was previously on the site was retained incorporating the modern architect-designed Medical Centre, which also includes Chinchilla Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Sullivan and Nicolaides blood collection rooms.
The Practice is a Distribution Priority Area and Area of Need for OTD. The patient base is mixed, including retirees as well as young families. The practice offers a combination of bulk and private billing and a wide range of services at the facility including computerised radiography. They have visiting specialists and on-site pathology. To view all the services provided visit the website on Home - Chinchilla Medical Practice Mixed billing practice. A guaranteed amount of $ 120 per hour plus GST for the first 12 weeks or 65% of receipts (whichever is the greater). The practice has nine consulting rooms and a large nursing area which helps deal with any emergencies. The practice is computerised using Best Practice software. The team comprises of a Practice Manager , office administrator, 3 receptionists and 3 Registered Nurses who share 1 a FT position.
Most importantly, they have a vibrant team of staff members who provide friendly, efficient and compassionate care towards all of their patients with a commitment to ongoing education and training. They are looking for General Practitioners who value small town life but with the prospect of being very busy. They have a waiting list of patients for at least two GP's so you will not have to build your practice, in fact exactly the opposite. The owners and staff are very supportive and as a general practitioner you would be welcomed into this small community where Chinchilla values country life and living.
