This practice is a family friendly multidisciplinary clinic with nine General Practitioners and registered nurse support, as well as allied healthcare practitioners. With regular visiting allied healthcare professionals including Audiologist, Dietician, Podiatrist, QML Pathology, Midwife, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiotherapist, Diabetes Educator, Mental Health Nurse, Chronic Disease Nurse, Psychologist and Dietician.
The practice is a modern facility with AGPAL and full GPA accreditation. It is the only Government accredited Yellow Fever vaccination centre between Brisbane and Toowoomba.
Gatton has a local population of approximately 15 000, and another 40,000 from the surrounding areas. This beautiful town is only an hours drive west of Brisbane and 25 minutes from Toowoomba. The town has a small local hospital for minor medical treatments.
The role is to provide comprehensive medical care to individuals, families and communities (from initial consultation to follow-up) on simple and complex health conditions. The position requires consultation with other health professionals in the practice, as well as externally health professionals.
General Practitioners in this role continue to assist patients and the community by providing ongoing education, participating in health promotion, conducting research and assisting in the training of colleagues and other health professionals.
After Hours Requirements: After hours telephone triage is required on a rotational roster consisting of 1 night every 6-7 weeks.
Remuneration is paid as a percentage of a doctor's gross billings and will be negotiated depending on experience.
