Practice Information:
This Practice is mixed billing practice currently with 4 doctors. One is leaving so the incoming doctor will take over existing patient base. 2 nurses for support, 2 reception everyday and a practice manager. Lots of geriatric patients offering potential for skin work and care plans etc
Gladstone is situated on the East Coast of Central Queensland about seventy kilometres south of the tropic of Capricorn. It boasts a large harbour with access to all water activities, the Great Barrier Reef, Heron Island, Agnes Water, The Northern most surfing beach and 1770, the Site of Captain Cooks first landing in Queensland.

Position Description:
Manage patients from diverse age groups, neonates to aged, both males and females
Provide wide spectrum of services from preventive check-up, immunization for all age groups to emergency care and appropriate referrals
Greet patients and take personal histories, perform examinations, order laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic procedures
Evaluate patient’s physical and mental health; refer patients to specialists where appropriate
Making management plan and prescribe medications for all types of ailments
Perform minor surgeries such as suturing, ingrown toenail removal, skin lesion biopsies and removal of foreign bodies from nose, ears or wounds
Provide emergency care
Provide pre-natal and post-natal care
Perform skin cancer checks
To report notifiable diseases
Advise patients about strategies for maintaining optimal health using various measures at disposal like Health Assessments and Care Plans
Manage Chronic Diseases and optimally use tools available at disposal for chronic disease management
Keeping up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and discussing the development of new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical sales representatives
Maintaining a portfolio of continuing professional development (CPD) activitie
Qualifications and Experience
