As a GP in our large rural general practice, you are well supported by the wealth of knowledge and experience by the GP ownership group/supervisors, your peer GP's and of course, by our fabulous support team of nurses, receptionists and our full-time Practice Manager.
The Practice is an accredited practice and owned by a group of 5 Doctors who all work in the Practice. We are a mixed billing practice, offering routine bulk billed services to all children and teenagers up to the day of their 20th birthday and all patients over the age of 65 on a pension/concession card.
Since 1st February 2019, we now proudly trade 7 days per week providing our community with access to general practice services 70 hours per week.
Practice hours: Monday to Thursday: 7.00am - 7.00pm Friday: 7.00am - 5.00pm Saturday: 8.00am - 4.00pm Sunday: 10.00am - 2.00pm Public Holidays: CLOSED
In July 2016 we established new purpose-built premises for our practice. Our practice building of 800sqm comprises of the following:
20 consult rooms
4 bed treatment room
3 procedure rooms
small meeting room
large staff kitchen with outdoor seating area
5 patient waiting areas
50 on-site car parks
Our current team profile includes:
10 x GP's
2 x GP Registrars
4 x Registered Nurses
5 x Enrolled Nurses
9 x Receptionists
1 x Practice Manager
1 x contract Bookkeeper
6 of our GP's are accredited supervisors with RACGP and ACRRM, with a long-term commitment to the supervision and training of GP Registrars. We support medical students from University of Queensland - Rural clinical School, Griffith University and John Flynn placement program across the span of the year and take both 3rd and 4th year students.
The Practice offer a diverse range of services to meet the needs of our patients from birth to the end of life. Services include but are not limited to: family medicine, women's health, mental health, occupational medicine, skin cancer management, chronic disease management, immunisations including Q-fever, minor procedures, nursing home/aged care, home visits, palliative care, after hours service to registered patients of the practice, vasectomy, telehealth, botulin injections.
We also prioritise the use of modern technology in our practice, with a vast range of equipment on-site and available for use by the clinical team; the integration of software and devices with our clinical software and a robust server environment to support the business.
Some of our Doctors provide VMO services to the local Hospital (anaesthetics, obstetrics). With approved credentialing rights, GP's are able to manage private in-patients at the local hospital.

Situated in the rich soils of the Darling Downs, Dalby is just 211 km north west of Brisbane and is at the crossroads to Toowoomba, Kingaroy, Roma, Mundubbera and Goondiwindi.
Dalby and the surrounding Western Downs region is at the center of rich coal and natural gas reserves. The region is renowned as a rich agricultural area, growing crops such as cotton, sorghum, wheat, barley, chickpeas, sunflowers, mung beans and corn as well as the production of lamb, beef and pork. The Dalby Region is a vibrant 'go ahead' rural community with a town population of approximately 12,000 with a further 5,000 residing in the rural district.

After Hours requirements: We provide afterhours services to registered patients of the practice each day of the year. Our GP team participate in an on-call roster with an average of 1 night per fortnight and an average of 1 in 7 weekends.
Qualifications and Experience: You are eligible to apply if you:
Are vocationally registered / FRACGP or FACCRM and able to hold an unrestricted provider number
Maintain a Medical Indemnity insurance policy
Have a passion for rural general practice
