Practice Information:
This role is based within a private allied health practice, providing services to children and families through a mix of private referrals and NDIS funding. The position includes working across clinic-based sessions, as well as outreach support within schools and kindergartens to promote functional, real-world outcomes. The clinic is led by a dedicated allied health professional who values genuine work–life balance and high-quality, client-centred care. Position Description:
They are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join their growing allied health team, supporting children and families within a private practice setting. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinic-based sessions, community outreach, and collaboration with schools and early childhood settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to paediatric clients (0–18 years)
Complete assessments, goal setting, and therapy planning tailored to individual needs
Provide intervention across areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, emotional regulation, and school readiness
Work collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to support functional outcomes
Deliver services within the clinic, via telehealth, and in community settings (e.g. schools, kindergartens)
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reports, and NDIS-related requirements
This role is primarily paediatric-focused; however, there is opportunity to expand your caseload to include adult clients, depending on your interests, experience, and career goals. This may include functional capacity assessments, daily living skills, and community-based support.
Position Requirements:
This role is best suited to an experienced Occupational Therapist who is confident working independently within a paediatric caseload.
Essential:
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
Current AHPRA registration
Experience working with paediatric clients across a range of developmental needs
Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage a caseload autonomously
Experience working within NDIS frameworks, including report writing and goal setting
Highly Desirable:
Experience supporting children in school and early childhood settings
Knowledge of sensory processing, emotional regulation, and functional skill development
Interest or experience in expanding into adult service delivery
This position is ideal for a clinician looking to further develop their skills within a supportive, flexible environment while working with a diverse and rewarding caseload.
