Qualifications & Experience:
Suitable applicants must:
Be able to work independently
Enjoy working with a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds
Be outgoing, adaptable and thrive in living remotely
Have a client centred approach that is both professional and empathetic.
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
Drivers licence or ability to obtain QLD driver's license
Current police record check and blue card or ability to obtain
Current registration with Occupational Therapy Board
Demonstrated understanding of working with children with both mild delays and disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder.
Work within the organisation's vision, beliefs and policies to deliver high quality, skilled Occupational Therapy services in line with accreditation frameworks.
Confident in using different forms of technology such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
NDIS experience including functional capacity assessments, equipment prescription, home modifications, intervention and on-going management of clients across the life span will be highly valued Occupational rehabilitation experience in the mining sector including pre-employments, functional capacity assessments
Experience in paediatric developmental assessments and intervention programs
Strong clinical and non-clinical problem-solving skills
A client centred approach that is both professional and empathetic
The ability to work both independently and as part of our multi-disciplinary team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time management skills.
