Position Description:
This fast-growing Medical Centre with a family-friendly working environment (Monday-Friday, office hours) is situated within in a beautiful lifestyle area. This practice holds ISO Quality Management accreditation, is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and in 2016 was named national Aboriginal Medical Service of the Year by Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd (AGPAL).
This practice provides services to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and non-Indigenous Australians, without discrimination. All services are culturally responsive and inclusive. The Health & Wellbeing Complex has been completely renovated and since reopening in 2014, it has seen exponential client growth.
This organisation is DWS registered - VR and non-VR GPs welcome.
The practice offers a flexible working environment that can accommodate all levels of skill and experience, and the team of permanent GPs are all qualified as Supervisors. The Medical Centre has an extensive administration and support team overseen by the Practice Coordinator, and the IWC Executive is involved in regular GP meetings to facilitate a proactive and responsive approach to continual improvement. Streamlined referrals to a range of specialist and Allied Health services under our own roof. Stage 1 of the IWC Health & Wellbeing complex is 3000sqm, and with the opening of Stage 2 in 2019 the practice has expanded to 7000 sqm.
Current Specialist / Allied Health services include: Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Endocrinology, Diabetes Education, Dietetics, Psychology, Acupuncture, Pathology, Midwifery and Pharmacy.
Health & Wellbeing Gymnasium and Turkish Baths opened in 2019, and has allowed the practice to further expand their GP base as well as their range of Specialist / Allied Health services.

The Medical Centre team includes GPs (all qualified to supervise), Indigenous Health Practitioners, RNs, ENs, Reception and Administration staff.
The renovation of the Health & Wellbeing Complex has won awards for both design and construction.
Each GP has a dedicated consult room.
The complex has smart technology and an IT team.
The complex has a café, lunchroom and the expansion will incorporate colonnade gardens.

Qualification and Experience:
Minimum three years’ experience as a General Practitioner
AHPRA registration and at least 3 years medical experience
A full-time GP
