Health Workforce Needs Assessment

​Health Workforce Queensland conducts an annual primary care 'Health Workforce Needs Assessment' for remote, rural, and regional areas of Queensland.

This report offers insights into current and emerging issues, identifies workforce and service gaps, and highlights priority areas by PHN region. It aids in developing evidence-based and effective service delivery models in remote and rural Queensland.

The Health Workforce Needs Assessment is produced as a state-wide report alongside the PHN Addendum Report which complements the HWNA with current region-specific workforce and service data. ​

Regional Health Workforce Needs Assessments

The annual Health Workforce Needs Assessment is produced as a state-wide report with four regional workforce summary reports. The regional reports are geographically aligned with the four remote and rural Primary Health Networks (PHNs) and are a reference for organisations to assist with their health workforce and service planning activities (links provided below):
