Practice Information: 
This surgery is a bulk-billing practice. Services provided include Childhood immunisations, Adult vaccinations, School-based vaccination catch-up, Covid-19 vaccinations, Men’s health checks, Mirena and Implanon insertions, Skin Cancer screening and procedure, , Minor surgery, Women’s Health, Electrocardiography (ECG), Warfarin monitoring, Medicals - insurance, driving & other licences, DVA, Workers’ compensation consultations, Antenatal care, Spirometry , Healthy 4 Year Old Check, Health Care Plans, Wound Dressings, The surgery has QML Pathology in-house, Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology directly opposite, and Medical Imaging right next door.

At the moment, the surgery has two full-time doctors, two registered nurses, and four administration staff, Allied services that work from the surgery include a dietitian (fortnightly), a podiatrist (monthly), a chiropractor (twice weekly), and a physiotherapist (weekly). They are a practice who, while taking health care very seriously, also like to have a bit of fun.

Town Information: 
Childers is a hinterland town situated on the Bruce Highway approximately thirty minutes from Bundaberg, a hour away from Hervey Bay, and three-and-a-half hours away from Brisbane. It is an agricultural township with a population of fifteen hundred people, and the Shire has around seven thousand people. Being on the highway it is a busy little place with plenty of activities to do and places to visit.

Childers has a relaxed vibe, with a healthy cafe culture and numerous choices for dining and entertainment. Childers is home to many sporting and community groups, a kindergarten, one state primary school, one private Catholic primary school, and one state high school.The CBD of Childers is a great mixture of shops including cafes, two bakeries, two butchers, a jeweller, clothing stores, several hairdressers, therapeutic massage, allied health (physio, podiatrist, occupational therapist)- separate to those at the surgery, a dentist, a dental prosthetist, Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank, a post office, a court house, "two dollar shops", and real estate agents, The town also has an IGA, a Woolworths, two chemists, and four pubs. What more could you want!?

Position Description:
Standard general practice.

No on-call, no after-hours work, no weekend work, and no public holiday work.

Proposed start date: as soon as humanly possible.

Also, while they will be happy to have a doctor or any gender, the surgery is currently without a female doctor which has upset a lot of our female patients. Therefore, the addition of a female doctor to the practice would be greeted kindly by their female population.

Qualifications and Experience:
A doctor without restrictions or needing no supervision.

Our doctor is already supervising the only other doctor in the surgery, so undertaking the supervision of another doctor would be too much of an undertaking.
