Southern Queensland Rural Health (SQRH) is a joint initiative of The University of Queensland (UQ), University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Darling Downs Health (DDH) and South West Hospital and Health Service (SWHHS). We support nursing, midwifery, allied health students and health professionals to develop a high quality and highly skilled workforce across regional, rural and remote Southern Queensland.
SQRH is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health as a University Department of Rural Health under the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training Program (RHMTP). SQRH is funded to engage with the local communities to support the delivery of training to students, maintain and progress an evidence base and the rural health research agenda, support improvements in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and provide regional leadership in developing innovative training solutions to address rural workforce recruitment retention.

An opportunity has arisen to contribute to the professional education of undergraduate and postgraduate students across the fields of Physiotherapy, Social Work, Dietetics and Psychology. Utilising your recent professional practice and advanced knowledge in this space, you will supervise students in the Southern Queensland Rural Health student-led Interprofessional clinic.
This position is located in Toowoomba, however travel to other sites in the Darling Downs, South West Queensland, and the University of Queensland campuses may be required.
Along with an undergraduate/graduate-entry degree in either Physiotherapy, Social Work, Dietetics or Psychology, you will have subsequent clinical experience of at least three years. You will have demonstrated recency of practice with advanced knowledge and the ability to deliver evidence based clinical practice in the areas of either Physiotherapy, Social Work, Dietetics or Psychology. You will also have demonstrated ability as an effective clinical supervisor, educator and communicator in areas of student supervision and clinical skills assessment.
Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to establish and maintain effective relationships both within the university and wider community. Finally, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to develop and deliver innovative training to facilitate interprofessional learning opportunities and enhance the clinical skills and knowledge development for students.
It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of:
Blue card;
Current driver's licence
Immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases; and

This position is a casual position at HEW Level 7.
The casual hourly rate is $58.66 per hour, inclusive of 25% casual loading.
