Practice Information:
Recently established, this practice is located in the Northside of Bundaberg, providing a combination of family GP services, minor procedures and cosmetic skin treatments. The Practice currently has one full-time Doctor specialising in skin treatments and a part-time Doctor. You will be supported by a full-time Nurse and a great administrative team. The Practice is open Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm and on Friday 8am - 5pm. The Practice is mixed billing.
Position Description:
The General Practitioner (GP) provides comprehensive primary healthcare services to individuals and families within a rural community setting. In regional centres such as Bundaberg, the GP plays a vital role in delivering accessible, high-quality medical care while supporting the health and wellbeing of a diverse population. The position involves diagnosing and treating a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventative healthcare, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality general medical consultations for patients of all ages
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions
Develop and implement chronic disease management plans
Deliver preventive healthcare services, including immunisations, screenings, and health education
Perform minor procedures such as wound care, skin lesion removal, and basic surgical treatments
Conduct health assessments including child health checks, elderly health assessments, and occupational medicals
Refer patients to appropriate specialists, allied health professionals, or hospitals when required
Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records
Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals, and other medical staff
Position Requirements:
Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery
Current APHRA Registration
Minimum of 5 years medical work experience
Current working right in Australia
