The practice is looking a VR General Practitioner (preferably) or a General Practitioner that has general registration.
The practice is a mixed billing group practice (but mostly private billing) with an attached skin clinic with derm doc machine and recently acquired operating microscope (Zeiss). There are full and part time male and female General Practitioners at the practice with interests in all aspects of general practice but especially skin medicine and plastic surgery, industrial medicine, gynae, paeds and geriatrics.
We have onsite dietetics and podiatry and have an interest in chronic patient management and feature extensive RN support to accomplish EPC items. The practice is modern, computerised and has an attached pathology, XR/CT/US facility. Pharmacy is walking distance.
The practice has a long educational history and for 20 years trained GP registrars to the RACGP exam and full qualification. One of the Principals is the current RACGP Training Supervisor of the Year for Queensland.
Gympie is an expanding country town with a history in gold mining, beef cattle and ginger and garlic production. Gympie is within 40 minutes of Noosa and Fraser Island. Gympie still retains a country flavour while supporting some fine restaurants, an array of sporting clubs, an aquatic centre, golf course and the heart of gold film festival yearly.
Remuneration 65% gross receipted billings as an Independent Associate or by negotiation. Weekend requirement at most three times per year. This does not at present require a clinic but is on call for nursing home and palliative care. One in eight Saturdays by negotiation.
