Practice Information:
This practice has a great supportive health care team whose focus is to provide excellent health care to our patients. The team consists of 1 full time General Practitioner and 2 part time General Practitioners working and supported by a full time Practice Nurse, part-time Chronic Disease Nurse, full time Receptionist and a Practice Manager. Allied health support staff include a Physiotherapist, Podiatrist, Healthy Sleep Solutions staff and Psychologist. There is mixed billing at the practice with young children and aged pensioners generally bulk billed. It is also provides GP Registrar training.
This practice is a purpose built General Practice surgery. The facility has four consulting rooms, a treatment room with three beds, chronic disease nurses room, allied health room, reception area, waiting room, managers office and full kitchen, laundry and bathroom facilities for staff. There is a QML pathology collection centre open in the mornings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
In Mary Valley country behind the Sunshine Coast, Imbil is a 48 kilometre drive south-west from Gympie. Imbil was first established in 1868 with the start of the gold rush in the area. Imbil is a quaint country town boasting facilities which include a purpose build doctors surgery, chemist, library, post office, school, shops, bowls club and sporting facilities. The Imbil lookout presents incomparable, near 360-degree views to Kenilworth, the mountains, and the Sunshine Coast. A 26 kilometre round-trip through forest and cultivated creek flats takes in Lake Borumba, which is perfectly tailored to swimming, boating, water-skiing and fishing. Imbil is only a short drive of 20-30 minutes from Gympie, Pomona and Cooroy and 40 minutes trip to Noosa. The nearest x-ray and local hospital support facilities are situated at Gympie.
Position Description:
Full time experienced General Practitioner is urgently required to become part of a vibrant, friendly and caring health team. Remuneration is 65% of receipted billings. Ideally we would prefer someone with previous teaching experience who has worked in a Supervisor role for Registrars undertaking their FRACGP training.
No On-Call or After-Hours requirements.
