Job Title: General Practitioner – Rockhampton, Queensland.
Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time.

This well-established, AGPAL-accredited general practice is located in the heart of Rockhampton, Queensland. Operating as a group practice, it offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its community. They are a mixed billing practice, dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community. The team is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Services Provided:
Chronic disease management, Skin checks and skin surgery, Travel vaccinations, Sports injury management, Asthma management, Family health care, General immunisations, Women's health services, Pre-employment medical assessments, Shoulder and knee injections, Care plan development, Over 75's health assessments, Allied health services.
Facilities and Accessibility:
Wheelchair access, Onsite pathology, Proximity to pharmacy, Accessible toilets and parking, LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender-safe space.
Operating Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday are closed.
Position Overview:
This practice is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join their dynamic team. This role offers flexibility, clinical autonomy, and the opportunity to work in a practice that values professional growth and patient-centred care.

Qualifications & Experience:
Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is desirable but not essential.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both spoken and written English.
Strong commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
Sound clinical knowledge, diagnostic and decision-making skills.
A commitment to delivering patient-centred, high-quality care. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
We welcome expressions of interest from both VR and non-VR doctors, including overseas-trained practitioners.
Supervision may be available for the right candidate.
Additional Information for International Applicants:
Doctors who are not currently registered in Australia must meet the following requirements to practice:
Hold a primary medical qualification comparable to Australian standards.
Be eligible for AHPRA registration, via one of the recognised pathways (Competent Authority Pathway, Standard Pathway, or Specialist Pathway).
Meet the English language proficiency requirements set by AHPRA (e.g. IELTS or OET tests with required scores, unless exempt).
Obtain Australian Medical Council (AMC) certification, where applicable.
Secure an appropriate work visa, such as the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482).
Hold medical indemnity insurance, as required for all practicing doctors in Australia.
Be willing to work under supervision, if not currently vocationally registered.
Salary Information:
$150,000 - $350,000 per annum.
