Job Title:  Lead Registered Nurse in General Practice – Mackay, Queensland.

Job Type:  Permanent – Full-Time.

Position Description: 
This practice is seeking an experienced General Practice Registered Nurse Lead to join the dynamic team in Mackay, Queensland. As a full-time General Practice Registered Nurse Lead, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the overall operations of our medical practice. 

What you'll be doing:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including conducting physical examinations, administering medications, and assisting with minor medical procedures 

• Coordinating and managing the nursing team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of patient care 

• Developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain the highest standards of clinical practice 

• Collaborating with doctors, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care 

• Participating in the training and development of nursing staff, including providing mentorship and guidance 

• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations 

• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the practice's nursing services 

What we're looking for:

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a general practice or similar primary care setting 

• Strong clinical skills and a demonstrated commitment to evidence-based nursing practice 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team 

• Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a nursing team 

• Familiarity with nursing informatics and the use of electronic medical records 

• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask A passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
