Town Information:
Clermont is a rural remote town located on the Central Highlands in Central Queensland in the Isaac Regional Council area. The town is based on agriculture with two operating coal mines nearby. Clermont has a state primary school, private catholic primary school, state high school. The sports facilities and clubs consist of both league and union football, swimming, netball, softball, soccer, pony club, campdraft, rodeo, cricket, junior motorcycle, stock horse, clay target, rifle, sporting shooters, water sports, golf and more. The town supports two supermarkets and numerous retail outlets including clothing, rural supplies, coffee shops, restaurants, newsagency, post office, service stations. There is a local hospital and two general medical practices. Tourism is a major attraction, particularly through the winter months.
Practice information:
Our practice is a three doctor practice with one of the doctors being the owner / director.
Mainly delivering private billing services across the medical disciplines of: Families; Children; Over 65 age group; Patients with complex/chronic disease; Pregnant woman for antenatal services; Occupational Health/Work services, the practice is focused on primary health care with a holistic overview.
Coal board medicals will be offered in the near future.
After Hours requirements:
There will be no after hours work at this stage.
Candidate profile:
Bachelor of Nursing or higher qualification and current registration with AHPRA
Preferable nursing experience in primary health care
Preferable experience coordinating community health programs in particular chronic disease
Ability to deliver quality primary health care services and promote continuous improvement, including motivating and influencing colleagues to do the same
