We support doctors, nurses and allied health professionals and their families, so they can keep supporting our communities.
The retention of medical and health professionals in rural and remote parts of the state is of acute importance in providing quality and continued health care to these communities. We understand the issues affecting the regional, rural and remote Queensland workforce and we are responsible for administering a number of programs to help support the health workforce in these areas.
Our programs include:
The Rural Locum Relief Program
Five Year Overseas Trained Doctors Scheme
Dental Relocation and Infrastructure Support Scheme (DRISS)
Rural Health Professionals Program
Joint Rural Health Club Weekend
Go Rural campaign
