Growing your potential in North Queensland!
After the success that has been GROW Rural Central Queensland and GROW Rural South West Queensland, we are very excited to announce our new student immersion program, GROW Rural North Queensland!
If you believe you have what it takes to improve health outcomes in rural communities and want to broaden your scope of practice and leadership skills, then GROW Rural North Queensland is for you.
We will immerse first-year medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health students studying in Queensland. We intend to prepare you for employment in the region, introducing you to practices whilstsupporting you along the way.
By offering a select group of first year health students’ pre-employment preparation over the three-year program alongside designated North Queensland communities, practices and service providers, GROW Rural North Queensland will assist in developing future rural career pathways.
With applications opening on 19 May 2022, you have time to research and prepare for the online application. We will be conducting online interviews for short-listed applicants so we can get to know you better!
The first GROW Rural North Queensland event will run from Friday, 9 September to Sunday, 11 September 2022.
