We understand the critical importance of supporting the families of our health workforce in addition to the practitioners themselves.
That’s why we work collaboratively with the Queensland Rural Medical Family Network (QRMFN) to recognise, empower and support rural medical spouses, partners and families. In doing so, we strive to support the doctors in rural and remote practice and training throughout Queensland.
The Family Network provides a range of information, referral and support services, which are designed to enhance the lives of medical families in rural communities. We recognise that a doctor’s family plays a crucial role in his or her decision to take up and remain in rural practice. Therefore, our initiatives aim to aid in the retention of doctors in Queensland’s rural and remote areas.
Whether you are new to Queensland or have been here for many years, the QRMFN website contains many valuable resources.
