Mates4Mates provides support and rehabilitation to current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members who have been impacted as a result of their service, and their families. All services are bulk billed through Medicare and DVA.

Position Description:
Work within a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of psychological services to our Mates and/or their families to address mental, emotional and behavioural issues.
Conduct Expression of Interest screens for Mates/Family members applying for Skills for Recovery programs and eligibility to be a member of Mates4Mates
Contribute to the evaluation of service programs through administration of psychometric, surveys and analysis of data
Provide individual and group interventions and psychological interventions to Mates/Family members using evidence informed and evidence-based therapies
Liaise with relevant internal and external providers.
Externally promote our service offerings to relevant stakeholders to ensure our targeted client cohort are engaged and aware of the ongoing support they can receive through our service offerings; and
Participate in short term residential programs, from time to time with our Mates and their families
After Hours: Yes, limited to some residential retreats and possible after hours sessions. After hours work will be discussed at the time of interview
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential for success
Tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work with membership of AASW and/or full registration with AHPRA.
Experienced in the treatment and management of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
Ability to develop and implement treatment and recovery plans for individuals and families, as required.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and computer proficiency, including
the ability to use client information management systems.
Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate
accountability and proficiency in clinical report writing.
Experience and /or knowledge of experiential therapies and the development of psychological programs
Advantageous
Direct experience in delivering Psychological or related services to current or past serving Defence personnel and their families.
Demonstrated clinical skills in delivering evidence-based treatment to people across the lifespan presenting with a wide variety or presentations.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
For social workers;
accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker;
registered with Medicare and DVA as a Mental Health Social Worker or eligibility to be registered.
