Position Description:
The clinic is seeking an Occupational Therapist with a focus on Paediatrics and a desire to work in private practice to join their clinic. You will work predominately with children through to teenagers aged 0-18 and their families, to achieve goals and developmental milestones. Your caseload will be a mix of children who are typically developing, as well as children with more complex disabilities. You will also have the opportunity to work and develop skills in various other areas of Occupational Therapy including, minor and complex home modifications, equipment prescription, adult clients, Functional Capacity Assessments, Cognitive Assessments and NDIS clients.
Their therapy room and sensory playground is well resourced and a fun place to apply your therapeutic skills whilst embracing their environment of continuous learning. The position is for a full-time Occupational Therapist with a focus on paediatrics. Paediatric experience is preferred however, new graduates are invited to apply. Own car and licence required.

Qualifications and Experience:
A genuine passion for paediatrics
Degree qualified Occupational Therapist
Current registration with AHPRA
WWC / Yellow card / Blue card / Current First Aid
Previous paediatric experience is well-regarded
Strong communication with children and adults (verbal and written)
Experience working with children/individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing disorder and physical disabilities desirable
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently
A demonstrated proficiency using assessment tools
Paediatric evaluation
Development of Paediatric Treatment Plans
Flexibility to provide therapy services across a number of different settings – clinic, school, Telehealth and community settings
Ability to work with a variety of families to carry out therapy goals
