“Bond is the university that helped make my dreams come true, so it will always have a special place in my heart.”

These are the words of Warda Nazah Ahmed, a Bond University Medical Graduate who moved to Australia in pursuit of chasing her dreams.

Warda grew up in Bangladesh. After moving to Australia and completing a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education, Warda interned at Austin Hospital where she was recommended to join Bond’s Medical Program.

After packing her bags and making her transition to the Gold Coast, Warda saw momentous achievements’. Warda participated in Health Workforce Queensland's Grow Rural program, where she took part in skills sessions to learn about rural practice and communities to understand rural primary care.

“It was a total immersion experience and allowed me to see a different side of Australia, as well as gain incredible hands-on experience doing community health checks and procedures like suturing,” said Warda.

Eventually, Warda wishes to make a difference by practicing medicine back home in Bangladesh.

Although Warda is saying goodbye to the Gold Coast, she won’t forget Bond University or the Medical Program any time soon. Congratulations Warda on graduating from your studies and pursuing your medical career.
