The Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (RDAQ) Annual Conference took place recently in Gladstone, and it was another great success! This event provides the opportunity for rural doctors, leaders in rural health and medical students to connect, learn and celebrate achievements.
As conference partner, Health Workforce Queensland are proud to support this annual event. Our Training and Events Team delivered another amazing conference and an excellent family program in collaboration with QRMFN.
We were also delighted to be actively involved in the conference program and to sponsor and present at the Rural Workforce Forum. Congratulations to our Executive Manager, Workforce and Service Planning, Sarah Venn for delivering a great presentation on General Practice Sustainability. Our Health Workforce Solutions Team Leader, Sandra Bukumirovic, also shared her extensive knowledge around the challenges faced by doctors trained overseas.
HWQ also sponsored the Student and Junior Doctor networking event, and it was great to see so many future rural doctors in attendance. The Inaugural Great Debate was a huge success and a highlight of the program.
We are looking forward to doing it all again next year in Cairns.
