In this month's Issue in Focus report, we look at why health staff tended to leave health services in remote and rural Queensland health services.
Key findings have been drawn from the 2023 Health Workforce Needs Assessment (HWNA), which is undertaken annually by Health Workforce Queensland (HWQ), and targets health professionals located in MM2 – MM7 locations.
In 2023, there were approximately 550 responses received from practitioners and managers about their perceptions of why health staff tended to leave the previous year.
